Dear fraternal colleagues,
“Science knows no country, because knowledge belongs to humanity and is the torch which illuminates the world” – Louis Pasteur.
The mission of any journal is to disseminate knowledge and also to ensure that information reaches the readers globally. Endodontology, founded in 1989, has evolved over the past 30 years to be one of the most credible platforms for dissemination of endodontic research. The journal owes its current credibility to its previous illustrious editors beginning with the founding editor, Dr. Naseem Shah (1989–2004) followed by Dr. B Suresh Chandra (2004–2014) and Dr. Sanjay Miglani (2015–2018). At this juncture, we would like to thank one and all for bestowing your faith on our team to take Endodontology journal ahead during our tenure.
Every endeavor begins with a dream, and our team's collective dream is to fulfill the foundational aspirations of our journal to be one of the premier sources of endodontic literature, for not only researchers and clinicians based in India but also to become a globally renowned journal of substance. Our team will strive toward this goal, and with your faith and support, we are confident of achieving the same.
- To maximize the reach and to improve the visibility of the articles such that the research receives a maximum impact, the journal needs to be indexed in eminent indexing platforms. Our immediate priority is to get the Endodontology journal indexed with PubMed and Scopus
- Timely processing of the articles and publishing encourage young researchers to publish more. We would also set in processes to improve the turnaround time from submission to decision and from acceptance to publication to internationally accepted norms
- The volume of quality research generated in our country from our field is enormous. Thus, to motivate researchers to translate their research to publication, our vision is to make Endodontology a quarterly journal from 2020 onward.
We look forward to translating these goals into reality and make Endodontology an international platform to showcase our research and reach many more milestones. Godspeed!
